Covid care packs for Onslow residents

Covid care packs are now available to permanent Onslow residents needing to isolate due to Covid. The packs, a Chevron initiative, are designed to help make isolation as comfortable as possible.

To be eligible, you must currently be isolating and have proof of residency. Apply for one care pack per household by:

23 March 2022: Wheatstone Project Native Title Agreement and the Trust Benefits Management Structure Review

BTAC and Chevron have engaged Mr Eamonn Thackaberry to do a review of the Wheatstone Project Native Title Agreement and the Trust Benefits Management Structure. Please find attached papers provided at the recent General Meeting.

Eamonn would like to speak with members to get feedback and comments relating to the above. All members are welcome and encouraged to provide their opinions, thoughts and feelings.

Please note, the review is to be completed by the end of April.

16 March 2022: Register for your 15 free rapid antigen tests (RATs)

Yesterday, the state government announced that every WA household can now get 15 free rapid antigen tests (RATs). You can register for yours online, or call 13COVID (13 26843).

15 March 2022: Positive Covid case at service station

A customer who attended the service station yesterday (Monday, 14 March 2022) has tested positive to Covid.

We urge anyone who visited the service station yesterday to please get tested immediately, and isolate while awaiting the test result. You can attend the Onslow Hospital to get tested, or use a rapid antigen test.

The staff at the service station have completed a deep cleaning process and thoroughly disinfected all surfaces. Please remember that all customers to the service station are required to wear a mask at all times for everyone’s safety.

Please monitor yourself for any symptoms, and stay safe.

Onslow Office Coordinator

The Onslow Coordinator is responsible for the smooth running of the BTAC’s Onslow office and the provision of high-level customer service and administrative support to Thalanyji members, the BTAC corporation and its stakeholders in Onslow. The position is a key and important position at BTAC and provides the vital link between the corporate office in Perth and the Onslow community.

We encourage members to apply who have an interest in working with BTAC and have good IT and communication skills.

The position attracts a Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHCADS) Level 3.3 salary ($67,570 + Super) and comes with salary packaging, subsidised (1 bedroom) housing, limited private use of vehicle.
