How we started
BTAC was formed in 2008 as a governing body, after the Thalanyji People received native title determination over 11,120sq km of land in the West Pilbara.
As the Registered Native Title Body Corporate (more commonly known as a PBC) for the Thalanyji People, our primary purpose is to represent, protect and support the interests of the Thalanyji People.
BTAC operates out of two locations, with staff in Onslow and Perth offices.
Our focus
BTAC’s purpose is to manage the native title of Thalanyji People and enable the social, economic and cultural development of BTAC members.
Our team’s focus is on managing native title claims and providing support for Thalanyji People in the areas of health, education, culture, employment, training, and community engagement.
BTAC staff
BTAC has a small team operating out of both Onslow and Perth offices.
